The Retrofit Opportunity – Why retrofitting buildings is crucial to meet 2050 targets
Most of the buildings we will use in 2050 are already built today. We will not be able to achieve the climate protection goals with demolition and new construction, because this destroys valuable resources and causes additional emissions. Instead we need to dedicate ourselves to the existing buildings and make them fit for a climate-neutral or, even better, climate-positive future.
