ASBP Innovation Pitch Series - Insulation

The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP), in collaboration with the ASBP Plastics in Construction Group, has launched an exciting new innovation pitch series.

Aimed at innovators, start-ups and manufacturers launching new product ranges, the purpose of the innovation pitch series is to identify innovative alternatives to conventional plastic building materials and packaging. The products can be at any stage of the innovation cycle from early development to market ready.

Please join us on Thursday 18th June, 14:00-15:30 for the first round of thASBP Innovation Pitch Series, focussed on innovative insulation materials. We’ll also be launching a new Plastics in Construction Introductory Guide!

14:00   Intro to The Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP) – Simon Corbey, Director, ASBP

14:05   Plastics in Construction Introductory Guide launch – Katherine Adams, Technical Associate, ASBP

14:15   Talks from our judges

  • John Williams, Sinvestec – Sinvestec is a specialist private investment company concentrating in clean and renewable technologies.
  • Mark Lynn, Thermafleece – A member of our Natural Fibre Insulation Group, giving an update on the multiple aspects of insulation materials.
  • Jamie Page, Cancer Prevention Society – A talk on the use of flame retardants which are used extensively in buildings. There is an increasing scientific research documenting the adverse the effects of flame retardants including widespread ocean pollution.
