Protec International Ltd

Protec International Ltd are the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of Temporary Protection Materials, designed to prevent accidental damage and costly repairs to finished surfaces, fixtures and fittings.

For over 28 years we have been working in partnership with our customers to understand the challenges faced on construction sites, designing and developing innovative new protection solutions that stand up to even the most demanding of site conditions.

We specifically manufacture twin-wall polypropylene Temporary Protection Sheeting (Proplex) at our Sheffield based Manufacturing and Recycling Centre.

We are THE ONLY manufacturer and supplier that can offer a complete Closed Loop solution to our customers diverting site waste from incineration and landfill.

Through our Proplex ClosedLoop Re-manufacturing Scheme, we take back the used Proplex sheets we manufacture into our fully integrated, UK based, manufacturing and recycling centre. Here we guillotine, remove excess dirt and contaminants from the waste; shred, wash, dry then reprocess the used sheets into raw materials. These raw materials go straight back into our manufacturing cycle where we re-manufacture them into new post-consumer Proplex sheets.

We are passionate about what we do, delivering the best products and service to our customers.

By protecting sites against accidental damage, we help them save time and money by reducing repair and replacement costs associated with follow on trades.

Our products are made in Britain to British standards, and we also offer inhouse printing and cutting facilities to help promote our customers brand on site.

We maintain high stock levels in our 8,000-pallet space warehouse and support all of this with our dedicated, passionate and professional team who ensures we deliver confidence to our customers.

As a manufacturer, we recognise our corporate responsibility to reduce plastic waste. We are proud to have developed the first end-of-life ClosedLoop Re-manufacturing Scheme for Temporary Protection materials, enabling construction sites to responsibly and efficiently return used materials back to Protec for recycling and re-manufacturing. This reduces the amount of plastic waste going to landfill and incineration and helps contribute to a more sustainable future. It also enables our customers to earn BREEAM credits further enhancing their image as considerate contractors.
