James is an experienced architect, and has been an associate director for Architype since 2015. He is passionate about design that builds on Architype’s in-depth research into Passivhaus, lifecycle carbon, natural materials, and building performance. James was the project leader for The Enterprise Centre at the UEA, an exemplary low carbon building certified to both BREEAM Outstanding and Passivhaus standards, and has since been lending his design expertise to projects ranging from UNESCO world heritage sites to university campuses, as well as co-ordinating the team to deliver ECCOLAB V2.
