Our Members, PYC, open their doors for site visits to their offsite factory and offices in Mid Wales. When PYC decided to start making their own timber frames, they got down to work designing and building their own factory. Once that was finished, it was time to test their system on their first order: to build their own passive house certified offices right next door – and to be bold enough to decide not to install central heating.
This event forms part of the Passivhaus Summer Open Days when passivhaus owners invite members of the public to visit their homes and commerical buildings. This is an opportunity to experience, first-hand, the benefits of building to the passivhaus standard. Home owners and builders give honest feedback about the pros and cons during construction and living in certified passivhauses.
