Learn how natural fibre insulation supports successful low energy retrofit, with real-world insights from practitioners and consultants
About the event
Natural fibre insulation is increasingly being used in social housing retrofit, particularly where traditional or hard-to-treat buildings require a more considered approach to moisture, compatibility and long-term performance.
This ASBP Natural Fibre Insulation Group webinar explores the use of materials such as woodfibre insulation through the lens of project delivery. Drawing on a London-based scheme, Kasang Kajang, Founder of KSquared and a Design Council Expert, will share first-hand experience of specifying and working with natural fibre insulation in practice, including how it performs on site, how it integrates with existing building fabric, and the role it plays in delivering robust, low-impact retrofit solutions.
She will be joined by Chris Brookman, long-time NFI Group member, Founder of Back to Earth and hygrothermal modelling specialist, who will provide additional technical insight on moisture behaviour and material performance.
The session brings together perspectives from those directly involved in delivering retrofit projects, alongside input from ASBP members supporting the wider adoption of natural fibre insulation.
