Mario Lara Lederman

Mario Lara Ledermann is Technical Lead for Lendlease. Prior to joining Lendlease, Mario worked for the Commonwealth Scientific Research Organisation in Australia for eight years, and his role there involved the research of innovative materials and methods for construction. At Lendlease, Mario’s regulatory, industry and scientific expertise is harnessed towards the development of solutions to decarbonise buildings. Mario is heading global initiatives on the use of engineered timber at Lendlease and  has established a global network of industry stakeholders acting on the adoption of timber buildings. He is originally from Chile, where he studied Industrial Engineering; he also has a MSc in Fire Engineering and has been based in the United Kingdom for the last four years.
