John Lawrie Tubulars is the leading specialist in the supply of repurposed steel tubulars, casing and drill pipe for use as piling in the construction and civil engineering sectors. With a keen focus on driving a circular economy, the company invested in a bespoke life cycle assessment which details that for every tonne of its repurposed tubulars used there is a carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) saving of 97.21% over the production of new manufactured prime steel products.
In-house services include the manufacture of drill rods, casing products, helical piles, pipe and fabrication for rail and highways as well as top driven piling.
What encouraged you to become a member of ASBP?
Our whole business ethos is centered around the repurposing of material already in use to save the production of new products from prime material. It seemed a very good fit to join the ASBP to become more familiar with and learn from other areas of construction that are also driving a move towards a more circular economy and reducing CO2e emissions.
