Exploring recognition across schemes: FSC, RSB and beyond | A first pilot testing how non-forest bio-based fibres could enter FSC supply chains — and a call for partners.
Join FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and RSB (Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials Association) for a webinar introducing a new draft recognition framework that explores how to allow agricultural residues certified to approved schemes enter FSC supply chains in a traceable, credible way. This draft recognition framework has been developed with support by the ISEAL Innovations Fund and the EU LIFE Programme
Forests are under growing pressure, while demand for low-impact, bio-based materials keeps rising. Agricultural residues such as wheat straw, bagasse and rice husks are abundant and under-used, but until now there has been no credible way to bring them into FSC supply chains.
Presenters, Loa Dalgaard Worm (FSC Circularity Hub) and Natalia Hernandez (RSB), will explain how it works, share what they’ve learned from industry, and open a call for companies to join our upcoming pilot. Ideal for companies working with fibre, packaging, textiles, furniture or wood-based materials, and anyone interested in circular, bio-based supply chains.
