The 2026 Structural Timber Awards shortlist is live, and ASBP members feature prominently across the programme, with finalist places in 13 of the awards’ 18 categories. Winners will be announced at the ceremony on 7th October at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham.
Thirteen ASBP members have been shortlisted:
- Architype – shortlisted in Product/System Innovation for Safe Schools for the Future.
- B&K Hybrid Solutions – five nominations: Fife College’s Dunfermline Learning Campus (Education and Low Energy Project), Metropolis and the Tesco Low Carbon Concept Store (Commercial/Infrastructure and Retail & Leisure), and Installer of the Year for its work at University College Oxford.
- BlokBuild – two nominations: its digitally manufactured timber construction system (Product/System Innovation) and Manufacturer of the Year.
- Buckland Timber – nine nominations across five projects: Float House, the AR18 Eco Factory, the Technology Hub and Heritage Quad at York Minster’s Centre of Excellence, Backstage at the Old Vic, and the Serpentine Pavilion, plus Manufacturer of the Year.
- Cullinan Studio – shortlisted in Healthcare for Maggie’s, Newcastle Annexe.
- Ecological Building Systems – shortlisted in Product/System Innovation for its EcoCocon engineered straw timber wall system.
- Engenuiti – seven nominations across five projects: Float House, the AR18 Eco Factory, the 10 Gresham Street Rooftop Pavilion, the Oxford North Cycle Pavilion, Heathfield Youth Club, and Engineer of the Year for The Place Fire Remediation.
- Heyne Tillett Steel – three nominations: 4 Arbour Street and Timber Square (both Commercial/Infrastructure, the latter with fellow member Hybrid Structures), plus Metropolis alongside B&K Hybrid Solutions.
- Hybrid Structures – shortlisted alongside Heyne Tillett Steel for Timber Square.
- KLH UK – part of the Heathfield Youth Club team, shortlisted in Retail & Leisure alongside Engenuiti and Morgan Sindall.
- Morgan Sindall – two nominations for Heathfield Youth Club, shortlisted in both Retail & Leisure and Contractor of the Year.
- PEFC – shortlisted in Product/System Innovation for its Project Sourcing Certification Standard.
- Simple Works – two nominations: Padnall Hall (Low Energy Project) and Engineer of the Year for its wider body of work.
The shortlist announcement is a reminder of just how much talent sits within the ASBP network, from engineering practices to product innovators, all pushing timber construction forward in different ways. Good luck on 7th October!
