ASBP member, the School of Natural Building (SNaB), offers a clay plastering in partnership with Bridport Cohousing. This forms part of the community build using low-carbon natural construction methods with locally sourced and reclaimed materials. The course is led by Salli Gosling, and covers the different aspects of applying locally sourced clay as an interior render that is breathable, low carbon and has high fire protection. The course includes applying key coat, body coat and finish coat; use of tools. Folks of all building abilities are welcome, whether a beginner or experienced craftsperson. On completion, the participants will receive a Straw Bale Build certificate or a Clay Plastering certificate from the School of Natural Building.
