Kat led the ‘Measuring mass timber‘ research project while Head of Sustainability and Regenerative Design at dRMM. She now is Sustainability & Climate Change Officer at the London Borough of Hackney.
Kat is Living Building Challenge certified, was a Steering Group Member for Architects Declare UK for two years, volunteers at the London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) and has been a coordinator at ACAN, focusing on biodiversity and ecological issues.
Awarded with a Distinction in MArch Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, Katโs final drawing โArchiving the Anthropoceneโ was exhibited at the Royal Academyโs Summer Exhibition in 2018, curated by Grayson Perry and Piers Gogh. Kat previously worked at Carl Turner Architects on โmeanwhileโ schemes, and at Hawkins\Brown, based at Arupโs office, on the delivery of Crossrail. At Undergraduate level, she achieved First Class in BArch Architecture from the University of Nottingham.
Kat cares about nature and climate deeply. She is campaigning in her free time to save some local trees, including the Old King George Oak tree, from being felled by insurer Aviva and her local town council.
