An in-person Ty Mawr training day with an emphasis on retrofitting solid masonry buildings without compromising their health, demonstrating methods that balance comfort, energy efficiency, and moisture management. The course covers a broad spectrum of retrofitting techniques, including both internal and external insulation options, as well as roof insulation and floor systems such as the Sublime Floor System.
The course is suitable for homeowners, builders, architects, or conservation officers.
Ty-Mawr’s training centre is based in a beautiful complex of Grade II* listed buildings, formerly a farmstead, on the shore of Llangors Lake, in the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in Mid Wales. T. The site is still the family home of the founders of Ty-Mawr, Nigel and Joyce Gervis and their children, and is an ongoing restoration project.
