Building the Future: The Potential of Steel Reuse in Construction | DISRUPT II closing Event

Date: Tuesday 22nd October 2024   Time: 17:00-19:30   Location: London, N1 6DD

Join us for the closing event of DISRUPT II, an impactful initiative focused on unlocking the untapped potential of steel reuse in the construction industry.

As one of the most resource-intensive materials, steel is commonly recycled but rarely reused, missing out on significant environmental and circular economy benefits. Through collaboration with key players in the demolition industry, including the Institute of Demolition Engineers and Cleveland Steel and Tubes, DISRUPT II has tackled the critical barriers of limited steel reuse, which is a supply of steel from the demolition industry.

This event will showcase the project’s achievements, including the development of new sector guidance and a pioneering material reuse platform. Discover how DISRUPT II is helping the industry work towards a consistent supply of reclaimed steel, contributing to the industry’s journey towards net zero. It’s a great opportunity to engage with the experts leading the charge in sustainable building practices!
