A Centre for Alternative Technology practical 4-day course giving you key skills to build a timber frame building all of your own.
CAT’s Master Carpenter, Carwyn Lloyd Jones, will guide you through an inspiring week. You’ll explore all the basic elements and hands-on skills of creating your home including and introduction to hand tools & power tools, how to build a frame using the Segal Method, how to transfer levels from the site onto the frame, insulating the frame, fitting a window, lifting walls & carrying timber safely.
