Bereco participate in ‘Through the Looking Glass: A Future for Historic Windows’

ASBP Patron members, Bereco, are participating in the ‘Through the Looking Glass: A Future for Historic Windows’ conference at The Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, on 27th & 28th June 2024. The conference, supported by SPAB and The Green Register, addresses the need for improved thermal performance of windows in heritage buildings and brings together experts in history, science and practical solutions.

The topics covered by this 2-day event are:

  • Understanding the history and significance of windows
  • Clues for dating windows based on physical evidence
  • Historic glass and modern glazing systems
  • Specifying repair and paint finishes
  • The science of heat loss and retrofitting existing windows
  • Justifying the case for replacement and looking at the options

Bereco’s Managing Director, Nicola Harrison, will give a presentation on the topic of integration of new windows in historic buildings, and Bereco (timBER ECO-friendly) can also be found in the exhibition area.
