Cleveland Steel and Tubes Ltd has been working hard to promote steel reuse and source more and more sections to compliment our huge stock of tubulars. We are seeing increasing acceptance of the obvious benefits of reuse and circular economy and the demand for materials continues to grow.
We are delighted to announce that we now have 3 new EPDs demonstrating the carbon benefits of our products.
Recovered and refurbished steel tubulars from waste oil and gas pipelines and pipeline projects - 44.7Kg CO2/Tonne compared to approx. 2400kg/Tonne
Recovered and reused mill surplus stock tubulars and mill downgrade steel tubulars – 782Kg/Tonne (still an equivalent to Electric Arc Furnace steel which is rarely available for large tubulars)
Recovered and refurbished used steel I-beams - 69.8Kg/Tonne
