Proofshield manufactures highly-breathable, insulating render systems combining super-lightweight mineral aggregates with decades of manufacturing expertise and innovation to create a new class of rendering and plastering materials. Regular render products have 2 main functions; they're protective and decorative. ProofShield's ThermoSilicone render system adds another ingredient to the mix. With a thermal conductivity of just 0.058w/mK, it insulates as well as providing a decorative, weatherproof wall finish.
We also manufacture a lightweight, insulating screed called ThermScreed based on a pumice aggregate that can add useful levels of insulation as an underlay.
What encouraged you to become a member of ASBP?ย Our drive has always been to create functional, high-performance building products that are based on the innate insulative properties of the natural minerals and aggregates that we work with. The materials we use were all widely used by the builders of the Roman and Byzantine empires and have proven to be remarkably resilient. We believe these natural minerals with their remarkable properties have a place in the current world of construction and see the ABSP as a natural platform for us.
