Transforming Homes: Design Research Approaches for Transforming Homes for Future Generations

Date: Thursday, 19th June  2025    Time: 12:00-13:30   Location: Online

A webinar showcasing the innovative work of the Transforming Homes Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) project. The aim of the project was to transform 1920-1940’s council-built homes to make them fit for the future, delivering healthy, holistic ‘Beyond Net Zero’ solutions using biobased materials. Using Design Research, appropriate and transferable designs have been developed in partnership with residents, community members, industry and government through Co-Design. Demonstration homes in Bristol and Swansea are progressing; learnings are being revealed and shared.
