A lunchtime webinar by ASBP sister organisation, The National Retrofit Hub. The event explores the results of research from their working group on “Retrofit Delivery: State of the Nation Review”. Multiple stakeholder groups with experience delivering retrofit in the UK brought together multiple data sources with support from the Hub’s partners at Arup, to understand what is working, at what scale, and what needs to change to scale up equitable, good quality retrofit.
The results include:
- An evaluation of the current state and scale of retrofit delivery in the UK across tenures
- An assessment of the scale of delivery required to meet decarbonisation targets
- Examination of the ‘customer/resident journey’ across five main delivery pathways in the context of the current policy and industry landscape with analysis of the key challenges within each pathway
- Examples of best practices and emerging opportunities
Key themes emerging from the research are the need for better public engagement and reformed grant structures. The webinar will look at the next steps for the group. There will be opportunities to get involved through joining the next phase of task & finish groups and to learn from future work.
