Elliott Wood: People’s Emergency Briefing Screenings

Date: Thursday 25th June 2026   Time: 18:00-20:30   Location: Society Building Fitzrovia, London W1T 4AH

The places, buildings and infrastructure we shape are central to how communities reduce emissions, adapt to change, protect nature and build resilience. The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency, yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

The People’s Emergency Briefing sets out the risks facing the nation — and the credible, positive responses available — in a clear and accessible account designed for screenings across the UK.

Hosted by Georgia Elliott-Smith of Elliott Wood, this series of screenings will be followed by a facilitated discussions on turning awareness into action.

The first of four screenings takes place on 25th June in London, and is open to anyone interested in the role of the built environment in responding to the climate and nature emergency. This is followed by invitation only screenings:

Policy screening 8 September 2026. For people and organisations with significant experience shaping the conditions for change in the built environment: local authorities, public-sector leaders and planning voices.

Finance screening – 24 September 2026. For for those with significant experience shaping what gets funded, insured, valued and renewed in the built environment: investors, lenders, insurers, developers and asset owners.

Design screening 7 October 2026. For the people and organisations with significant experience turning ambition into reality in the built environment: engineers, architects, designers, project managers, contractors and asset operators.
