ACAN’s Circular Economy Taskforce invites you to attend a live panel discussion as part of ACAN Circular Surgery series, exploring the Business Case for Circular Construction, from 6-8pm on Wednesday April 22nd at the offices of White Arkitekter in London.

The environmental argument for reuse in construction is well established, but the business case remains uncertain; this panel brings together industry practitioners engaged in the development of circular construction businesses, including charitable organisations, property developers, contractors and manufacturers:

  • Talia Berriman, Head of Green Economy at London Borough of Newham
  • Joel De Mowbray, Director at Yes Make and Tipping Point East
  • Gareth Morris, Head of Sustainability at Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland
  • Patrick Watson, Partner at 3PM Project Management
  • Olivia Phillips, Director of Sustainability at Canary Wharf Group

Christian Dimbleby, Head of Sustainability at White Arkitekter UK and member of the ACAN Circular Economy Task Group, will chair the event, beginning with a short introduction to the theme and presenting a case study of White Arkitekter’s own circular retrofit projects.

The panel will be prompted to discuss the commercial realities of reuse in construction, using their practical experience and expertise to describe challenges, successful outcomes, and strategies deployed in the development of circular business models. Audience participation is encouraged, to broaden the discussion and invite a range of perspectives on the priorities and constraints influencing business decisions in circular construction.
