Earlier this year we responded to the Environmental Audit Committee’s inquiry into the Sustainability of the Built Environment following a workshop with ASBP members to gather evidence. Our response was deemed particularly strong and ASBP board member and life cycle analysis expert Jane Anderson appeared before the committee on Wednesday 14th July to give oral evidence.
We are also delighted that Simon Sturgis of ASBP member Targeting Zero has been appointed as a specialist advisor to the Environmental Audit Committee. A quote from Simon:
“It is excellent news that the EAC is focussing on embodied and whole life carbon for this latest inquiry. I am hoping this will lead to WLC becoming mainstream rather than fringe. It certainly needs to, and fast.”
