ASBP member Mute Group has launched a new website and Instagram account for Akustak® – their patent protected, Part E compliant, acoustic modular wall system.
Prefabricated and portable, Akustak® transforms interior wall construction into a rapid process of assembly; from 15 m2 / per hour, whilst delivering outstanding airborne sound insulation performance.
Designed for materials optimisation and off-site construction, Akustak® eliminates waste, during manufacture and installation. Moreover, its unique demountable form, facilitates recovery and reuse, at the point of deconstruction.
The website presents Akustak®, in 3 user-friendly, visually engaging sections:
1. How Akustak® Works – showing, through animated iconography, the 4 simple steps, from project start to finish.
2. Akustak® Configurations – showing, through stop motion videos, the product range; Aku133, Aku125 and AkuStudio, including system specifications and UKAS-accredited, laboratory test data.
3. Advantages of Akustak® – summarising how Akustak® has the capacity to disrupt traditional construction methodologies, including off-site construction, rapid installation and zero waste.
Finally, the site presents a flagship case study; a large-scale application, on behalf of ENGIE, at their ExCel District Energy Centre, in London’s Royal Docks. In particular, this project highlighted how the product’s modular construction and manoeuvrability (especially at height and within confined spaces), were essential to the project’s delivery. Crucially, the installation met World Health Organization guidelines, for day and night-time noise, as stipulated by the local authority.
