Jerker Ligthart

Jerker Ligthart holds a Master of Science in Chemical engineering from Chalmers University of technology with a specialisation in environmental issues. He currently works as Senior chemicals advisor for ChemSec. During his nine years at ChemSec he has been responsible for the development of the SIN List among other things, developing it into a scientifically credible tool for the identification of SVHCs (Substance of Very High Concern). Jerker also has a profound understanding of chemicals regulation, especially REACH and during four years he has been attending the Member state committee meetings at the European Chemicals Agency, ECHA as an accredited stakeholder.
